Ruias-owned Essar Steel became the country’s largest pellet manufacturer with a capacity of 14 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) after it started commercial production of its 6-mtpa integrated pellet complex in Odisha on Thursday with an investment of Rs 6,000 crore, or $1 billion.
