WPC, A4WP may merge due to Qualcomm joining WPC, say Taiwan handset makers
With Qualcomm, the leader of the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP), joining the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) as a regular member, A4WP and WPC are likely to merge to adopt WPC-developed Qi as a common wireless power charging standard, according to Taiwan-based handset supply chain makers.
