This was a wild week for momentum investors. If you own high velocity stocks on margin, it was even more painful. As the week wore on Apple, Yahoo and Amazon disappointed investors as they watched their shares plunge in value from 8-10%. Only Facebook bucked that trend as the shorts were squeezed who were betting that FB would also not perform well. Facebook rose 14% after reporting its earnings.
